Core unit BAL Profiling

Clinical studies involving lung patients and also healthy control donors will be conducted in the out-patient unit where we have the possibility – besides lung function and radiographic tests - to perform bronchoscopy examinations to take bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) samples as well as biopsies and blood samples. To assure that all materials obtained from patients and controls are processed in the same manner we have established the Core Unit “BAL-Profiling” that provides the methods and techniques to handle these samples.
